A small animal veterinary clinic in Coastal Western Australia is seeking a veterinarian to join their busy practice. It is located in a vibrant town offering a range of amenities, including restaurants, coffee shops, pubs, bars, art galleries, fishing opportunities, diving/snorkelling spots, hiking tracks and beautiful beaches.
Both new/recent graduates and experienced vets are encouraged to apply.
The practice prides themselves on being friendly and dedicated, and they are eager to add another full-time veterinarian to their staff. They provide a supportive environment that encourages growth and development. The caseload is varied and interesting, with some exotics and wildlife work. Additionally, they offer specialised orthopaedics, including TPLO’s.
The successful applicant will enjoy a good work-life balance, working a four-day work week, with every second Saturday off and no after-hours commitments.
The hospital is fully equipped, featuring four consult rooms, a separate operating theatre, a spacious treatment room, indoor runs for dogs, a cat ward, an isolation ward, and a dedicated x-ray suite. It is equipped with various state-of-the-art tools and equipment, including an in-house laboratory, dental machine and dental x-ray equipment, ultrasound machines, digital x-ray, infusion pumps, and multi-monitors.
The ideal candidate for this position is a dedicated and passionate veterinarian who enjoys building strong relationships with clients and their beloved pets. They should possess a strong passion for their work and demonstrate confidence while collaborating effectively within a team. A friendly, positive, and professional demeanour, coupled with a can-do attitude, is highly valued. Reliability and a strong work ethic are essential qualities, as is a caring and compassionate nature. The candidate should be open to learning new things and possess excellent communication skills and a polished presentation.
The employer is willing to assist with a work permit (sponsorship) for suitable overseas candidates. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.
