This is a great opportunity for a small animal veterinarian to join the team at a busy first-opinion RCVS accredited practice in Cheshire.

The employer is looking for a friendly, motivated, and committed individual who shares a passion for working in a busy, team-orientated first opinion practice. They are keen to find someone with great communication skills and the wish to develop and add value to the team.

The role is flexible, with both part-time and full-time considered. The rota will involve 1:4 weekend shifts and one bank holiday per year. All OOH and in-patient care is looked after by the group's Tier 3 RCVS accredited hospital.

The large team includes four vets, a practice manager, one head nurse, three RVNs, one SVN, three VCA's and four receptionists. They aim to offer first opinion services to a high standard and are particularly proud of their range of nurse-led clinics and well-paced consult blocks to allow vets regular breaks and time to focus on the workup of clinical cases.

This is a lovely practice with a central location, featuring three consultation rooms, imaging room with brand new ultrasound machine and a large operating theatre.

There is a planned refurbishment of the practice scheduled for 2023, including a purpose-built cat ward, 4th consultation room, large new staff room and meeting room, allowing the practice to become a hub for local CPD.

The practice has a generous wellbeing budget to provide fun activities and treats for the team. The team are proud to be active within their community, readily engaging in events to bond with their clients.

Working at this practice, you will enjoy a positive team-driven atmosphere. Continuous learning is actively encouraged. All employees receive a CPD allowance. This is a great opportunity for someone who wishes to progress in a supportive practice, or equally would suit an experienced vet wishing to develop their own area of interest.

On offer for the successful applicant:

- 6 weeks holiday entitlement, including bank holidays.

- Workplace pension scheme

- RCVS membership reimbursed and VDS cover

- CPD allowance of £1750 (this would increase for a certificate holder)

- Certificates funded and strongly encouraged

- Enhanced sick, parental leave, Buy/Sell Holiday, and cycle to work scheme

- Staff discounts for your pets

- BUPA and a Healthshield wellbeing programme

- Life insurance at 1 x Salary

- Relocation packages available - T&C's apply

Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science or other relevant qualification and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner.
