An excellent opportunity has become available for an associate veterinarian. The position is to work at a large, well-established practice in country New South Wales.

The successful candidate will join a team who prides themselves on building a good rapport with their clients and going above and beyond for patients. They are a growing team with a focus on building a positive clinic culture with an emphasis on employee wellness.

Vets are supported by a fully qualified team of engaging nurses and dedicated receptionists. Permanent nursing staff are fully qualified and are engaged in the treatment and care of patients. They attend conferences and seminars throughout the year.

The practice sees a mixed caseload of approximately 70% companion, 30% large animal (equine & cattle).

Facilities and services include:

- Digital radiography in 2 locations

- Ultrasound for large and small animals - 3 machines with all probe sizes

- Endoscopes, including a bronchoscope

- Rigid Rhinoscope

- iM3 Elite Dental station and iM3 Dental Xray in both locations

- Multi-parameter anaesthetic monitoring

- In-house blood machines, Idexx Catalyst and Procyte plus Coag and urine analyser

- i-Stat blood gas monitor

- Small Animal Orthopaedics

- Separate dog/cat hospital wards, isolation, diagnostic room and dog runs

- Equine facilities, including horse stocks, powerfloat

- Mare Reproduction

- Cattle Pregnancy Testing

- Bull Semen Evaluation

Salary and benefits include:

- Base salary (plus super) depends on your skills and experience; however, for a full-time role, a vet with over 5 years' mixed experience can expect upwards of $130,000; a vet with 5 years' experience $100-120,000 and a recently graduated vet can expect $80-100,000 (pro-rata for part-time position).

- + $5,000 relocation assistance and first six months of rent paid.

- 5 days paid volunteer leave per year

- 1 weeks paid CE leave

- 4 weeks annual leave

- Phone and work vehicle provided

- AVA membership and VSB registration

The employer is willing to assist with a work permit (sponsorship) for suitable overseas candidates. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.
