An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced veterinarian to join the team at a first-opinion RCVS-accredited practice in Wirral.

This is a nine-month maternity cover position. The successful applicant will take on the role of Clinical Director.

You will ideally work four days per week and 1:4 Saturdays. Shifts are between 8:30 am and 7 pm during the week and 9 am to 5 pm on Saturdays. There are no OOH duties required.

The current team consists of six vets, six RVNs, three SVNs and two VCAs, plus a lovely, dedicated reception team. The team enjoy a great work-life balance with no OOH and pride themselves in delivering excellent clinical care.

This is a well-equipped, state-of-the-art practice that has recently been refurbished to hospital standard. They have built a strong following of clients over the years, and this continues to grow.

The practice offers first-opinion services to a high standard, with ample time for more complex cases to be worked up. They are a recognised ISFM-accredited cat-friendly practice, with separate cat and dog waiting areas and kennel facilities, aiming to minimise feline stress.

The practice features four consulting rooms, imaging suite, dog and cat wards, exotics ward, dental suite, operating theatre, and a large prep area. They have all the usual kit, including a digital x-ray, colour doppler ultrasound, dental x-ray, video endoscopy and tonometry, etc. They also have reference equivalent laboratory.
