Would you like to have a healthy work-life balance?

Choose to work in either a full or part-time role at this practice. The employer is committed to the team's mental and physical well-being and aims to have you leave work on time.

The successful candidate will benefit from flexible hours and working within a team that shares the same core values. This includes providing high standards of patient care, exceptional client experience and having fun! The team is inclusive, positive and supportive. You will have sufficient consultation times, time set aside to complete notes and call-backs, as well as one-hour lunch breaks. The practice shares out-of-hours duties with three other local clinics and is assisted by a telephone triage service to keep calls to a minimum.

The practice is equipped with all the modern resources, including in-house pathology, digital radiography and ultrasonography, to mention a few. Ongoing development and training are encouraged and supported. A week of study leave, and CE allowance is provided yearly.

The successful applicant will be competent at routine surgery and consults. They will have the opportunity to develop and hone skills in medicine and surgery with ongoing support from the experienced team. The employer offers a competitive and above-award salary package for this role.

The area is a fantastic place to live. Mountain bike tracks, national parks and lakes, golf courses, great scenery, wineries, a gin distillery, chocolate factories, museums and more! There are many opportunities for exploring the local area, and mainland Australia is easily accessible.

The employer is willing to assist with a work permit (sponsorship) for suitable overseas candidates. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia. A relocation allowance is available for interstate or international applicants.

A testimonial from a former team member:

I highly recommend this practice if you are looking for a job that will give you case autonomy while having support from colleagues. I was very inexperienced when I started here and had lost a lot of confidence. This was completely changed by working at this practice for the past few years. I've learnt how to do many new surgeries with wonderful support from both vets and nurses. There is always someone to discuss your case with, whether you need another set of eyes on an x-ray, discuss a medical case, look at cytology or some encouragement while scrubbed into a surgery. Reception does a great job of not overbooking vets. Our clients come from all walks of life, and the vast majority are a real pleasure to work with as well.
