An independent veterinary practice in Essex is looking for a veterinary surgeon with a growth mindset.

They are looking for a compassionate vet with excellent client skills, clinical ability and enthusiasm.

The practice's main site was rebuilt in 2015, giving them room to grow and expand their client base.

The clinic is well equipped, boasting a large prep area, two separate theatres, a full dental suite with dental x-rays, full digital x-ray equipment, an endoscope, ultrasound, and rhinoscopy. The clinic has designated dog, cat and exotic wards. A full range of in-house lab equipment, including an endocrinology machine. The practice values making a diagnosis and then treating. They also have a visiting soft tissue/orthopaedic surgeon and cardiologist.

The practice is a progressive and well-established ten-vet, sixteen-nurse, ten-receptionist, three-site practice. The employer values good client relationship development and the ability to work with their team.

The role is 40 hrs per week based on a four or five-day week within a rota system of 8 am to 7 pm, Monday to Friday. The role can be discussed in more detail if the position interests you.

Weekend work, Saturday and Sunday, is shared equally between our ten vets on a rota basis. The rota is one weekend in four, with time off in lieu.

No formal out-of-hours commitments.

Focused CPD is encouraged and funded.
