A great opportunity has arisen for a small animal vet to join a busy first opinion RCVS-accredited practice in Staffordshire.
The centrally located practice aims to offer first opinion services to a high standard and is proud to offer a range of nurse-led clinics and well-paced consult blocks, allowing vets regular breaks and time to focus on the work up of clinical cases.
This is a great role for someone who wishes to progress in a supportive practice, or equally would suit an experienced vet wishing to develop their own area of interest.
Staff enjoy a positive team-driven atmosphere where continuous learning is encouraged, with all staff receiving a CPD allowance.
The vet will join a lovely, social team who enjoys getting together outside of work; be it for an annual Christmas party or a friendly competition of bowling.
The ideal candidate will be motivated, friendly and committed, sharing a passion for working in a busy, team-orientated practice. Applicants should possess great communication skills and have the drive to develop and add value to the team.
The role is full-time, working four days per week with NO OOH and a 2:11 Saturday rota.
Sponsorship is considered for overseas applicants. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science or other relevant qualification and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner.
Benefits include:
- An excellent salary - up to £60,000 for an experienced vet
- 6.6 weeks holiday entitlement, including bank holidays.
- Workplace pension scheme
- RCVS membership reimbursed and VDS cover
- CPD allowance of £1750 (this would increase for a certificate holder)
- Certificates funded and strongly encouraged
- Enhanced sick, parental leave, buy/sell Holiday, and cycle to work scheme
- Staff discounts for pets
- BUPA and a Healthshield well-being programme
- Life insurance at 1 x Salary
- Relocation packages available - T&Cs apply
The location offers a wealth of culture, fantastic food and drink and shop-till-you-drop opportunities in the bustling market town, with the convenience of being close to the M6.
