An exciting opportunity has become available for a hospital director to lead a team at a practice in Tasmania.
The role will see the director leading an exceptional, positive and inclusive team of vets and nurses in a small animal practice. The successful candidate will be supported with the general business aspects of the hospital, including operations, HR and finance.
Responsibilities of the role include:
- Ensuring the regulatory compliance of the hospital to develop, approve and maintain a high level of Veterinary standard of care.
- Nurturing an environment of positive teamwork among hospital team members.
- Ensuring the hospital provides a variety of animal healthcare duties in the hospital, as well as management, mentorship, and development of all hospital team members.
- Human resource management, such as performance management, recruitment, and employee relations, with the full support of a HR department.
- Being responsible for the profitable operation of the hospital and its achievement of KPI targets and budget objectives with the support of an operations manager and finance team.

The employer is willing to assist with a work permit (sponsorship) for suitable overseas candidates. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.
The practice is equipped with all the modern resources, including in-house pathology, digital radiography and ultrasonography, to mention a few.
