An opportunity has become available for a new graduate to join a relaxed, privately owned, mixed practice in a premier location in regional Victoria. The clinic is seeking an additional veterinarian to join their 8-vet team. The clinic is located in Northern Victoria on the picturesque Murray River - home to stunning scenery, amazing weather and water sports.
The start date is early 2025.
The position offers excellent support for new graduates. You will have no on-call work initially and assistance will be given during large animal call-outs and surgery.
Vets are well-remunerated and enjoy 5 weeks' annual leave plus 1 weeks' study leave. After-hours is paid at 80% of the professional fees. A car and phone can be included in the salary package.
The practice has the ability to facilitate special interests and offers access to postgraduate training. Due to the size of the clinic, they are large enough to accommodate lifestyle and family commitments. The practice structures the roster so that vets don't miss out on important sporting or family events. The team will support new graduates in developing their skills.
This is a well-established, independently owned veterinary clinic that strives to provide their team with exceptional work-life balance in a supportive and enjoyable environment. The clinic staff pride themselves on their ability to tailor solutions that provide the best outcome for the patient while considering each client's financial constraints.
The clinic is large, purpose-built and includes all the necessary clinical tools such as in-house IDEXX blood testing, digital radiology, ultrasound and model dental equipment. There is a branch practice located in a neighbouring town only 20 minutes away.
The large animal work is mostly dairy cattle. One of the current vets does a large amount of sheep work and there is also a growing equine caseload.
