Seeking a role that really allows you to be a vet?
Want a role where you don't have to worry about:
- Discussing costs with clients?
- Note taking (& catching up on notes!)?
- Talking about flea and heartworm treatments, etc.?
…all while being part of an incredible team?
A position has arisen for an experienced veterinarian to join a great team at a high-standard practice in Adelaide, becoming the fourth vet in the team.
This position can be a surgery only role or a mix of surgery and consulting. One of the current vets carries out complex soft tissue and some orthopaedic procedures, including TPLO's. The practice also has a visiting medicine specialist.
Vets are supported by very well-trained nurses. They assist in the consult room, type up notes, discuss costs with clients, prepare estimates and invoices and more, allowing the vets to do what they do best!
The practice's purpose is to create a compelling place to both visit and work. Every team member has the opportunity to bring value, grow and become part of something exceptional within the industry!
Quality in standards of care and excellent service are prioritised. There is an ongoing commitment to improvement across the team.
The employer believes in work to live, not live to work. Full-time vets work four out of seven days and 1:4 Saturday mornings. No after-hours or Sunday work is required.
Vets at the practice are rewarded for their efforts and enjoy five weeks of paid annual leave, one week of study leave, paid VSB registration and a generous salary plus super. A vet with 10+ years of experience can expect a salary of around $160,000 pa (commensurate with individual skillset). After your first year of service, you will receive two return tickets to any capital city in Australia, allowing you to enjoy that additional annual leave!
The employer is willing to assist with a work permit (sponsorship) for suitable overseas candidates. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.
The practice offers a peaceful lifestyle, just minutes from the beach and 20 minutes from the CBD. The quiet suburb offers recreational facilities, shopping facilities, cafes and access to public transport.
