A family-friendly, privately-owned practice on the North Island's west coast is seeking a companion animal veterinarian to join the team.
This position is flexible to be either full or part-time.
The caseload is typical first opinion cases of cats, domestic and working dogs, with an occasional bird and small mammal.
The practice is looking for an experienced veterinarian who is ready to develop their career to the next level. Special areas of interest are encouraged with support for relevant CPD.
The clinic obtains a full roster of diploma qualified and undergraduate veterinary nurses, creating a supportive work environment.
This two-site mixed practice clinic employs 16 vets. They are dedicated to providing primary care and services to farmers and all animal owners in the local area. They are part of the community in which they serve and also have a high regard for clinical standards and professionalism.
The team members are advocates for their patients and are empathetic to their customers. The team look out for each other and share duties equally.
Both clinics have the usual toys, including digital x-ray, IDEXX in-house diagnostics, endoscope, fluid pumps, ultrasound, separate cat/dog facilities and more.
Vets work a 7-week rota that includes three individual weekend days plus one weeknight per week. Consulting and surgery rosters are shared between vets, as are the after-hours.
The region is a mecca for outdoor enthusiasts and offers countless opportunities, including many renowned surf breaks. The region combines great outdoor adventures with vibrant arts and cultural scenes.
